MME SWA Series Scraper Air Winches

MME SWA series double drum scraper air winches are designed specifically to cope with the harsh mining conditions encountered in South African mines. The compact design of the winches makes them ideal for vamping and sweeping in stopes. The winches operate at air pressures of between 4 and 7 bar and have a factor of safety of 6 at the rated load.

FEATURES AND CHARACTERISTICS.
 

Variable Speed Control 

  • Infinitely variable ball valve control offers precise speed control. Ball valve can be adjusted for varying supply pressures thereby giving the operator full control.

Vane Motor

  • Air assisted vane lifting ensures maximum torque when starting under load. The 11.3kW motor can be overloaded without damage occurring and is not affected by wet or damp operational conditions.

Sealed Gearbox

  • The sealed planetary gearbox ensures that the most stringent duty cycles can be met.. The gears are heat treated and mounted on high strength low friction bearings. Vented ring gear dissipates heat generated by the clutch bands

Exhaust Silencer

  • The exhaust air silencer is built into the winch frame and limits the noise level to 82 dB(A). The nonclog design prevents reduced winch performance resulting from moisture, oil or dirt in the exhaust air.
