MME TR Series Shunting Tracktors

MME TR series Shunting Tracktors are designed specifically to cope with the harsh mining conditions encountered in South African mines. The units are ideal for shunting material cars on surface or at underground stations. Benefits include time and labour savings. The tracktors operate at air pressures of between 4 and 7 bar and have a factor of safety of 6 at the rated load.

FEATURES AND CHARACTERISTICS

 

Variable Speed Control

  • Infinitely variable control offers precise speed control.

Integral Silencer

  • The exhaust air silencer is built into the drive frame and limits the noise level to 76 dB(A). The silencer elements are removable and can therefore be cleaned if they become clogged.

Vane Motor

  • Air assisted vane lifting ensures maximum torque when starting under load. The motor can be overloaded without damage occurring and is not affected by wet or damp operational conditions.

Sealed Gearbox

  • The sealed planetary gearbox ensures that the most stringent duty cycles can be met. The gears are heat treated and mounted on high strength low friction bearings.
